The four-year Education for Ministry (EfM) course starts each year in September and ends in June, with 6-12 students per class. The EfM program prepares attendees for the lay ministry to which each is called. It is that vocation for which we pray at the end of the Eucharist: “And now, Father, send us out to do the work you have given us to do, to love and serve you as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord.” The courses involve in-depth study of the books of the Bible, theologians, historians, and current faith-based books and articles.
The materials are developed by the University of the South (Sewanee) and each class is facilitated by trained mentors. For more information, go to the EfM website: http://efm.sewanee.edu/ or contact one of our mentors.
