Yoga in the Christian Tradition
These classes blend traditional Yoga postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranas) to build flexibility, strength and stamina. While Yoga has its roots in Indian spirituality with Hindu origins and practices, it is widely practiced around the world for health and well-being. At Church of the Holy Spirit, the exercises are taught from a health perspective, and meditative techniques are shared in a way that facilitates personal spiritual development compatible with Christianity and other spiritual seekers. Classes are held 7:00 PM Monday evenings at the church, although there are no classes in the winter months.
There is no fee for the classes, but a free-will offering to the church is accepted and appropriate.
