I am one of the early members of COHS. Claire and I started attending church some 22 years ago back in Harley Commons. I began my involvement delivering cookies to new visitors. Shortly after that I also served as an usher and lay reader. I then served on vestry or Mission Committee as we were then a mission parish. My responsibilities at the time were to oversee the building that is our church home today. Working with our design consultants, architect and a very dedicated general contractor proved to be one of the most exciting and pride filled challenges I’ve undertaken.
During the week I am an Architectural Consultant working with architects to develop hardware specifications for commercial building projects.
It has been kind of a cool experience being a new comer for a second time here at COHS. To see the changes and evolution that has taken place but also to see the community and warmth that has always been part of the foundation of this place we all call home. And make no mistake this church community has been there for my family in times of need….both by deed and by prayer!
